Life rarely goes according to plan, but I try to embrace both the challenges and the opportunities—because in the end, it’s all part of the adventure.
When a coworker first suggested I take a real estate course, my instinct was to say, “Absolutely not!” I didn’t have the best impression of the industry. It felt too pushy, too transactional. But at the same time, I was ready for a new chapter. I was working in e-commerce, managing sales accounts in a fast-paced, male-dominated environment. While I was good at it, I knew I didn’t see myself working there long term. So, I took a chance and said “yes” to the course, mostly out of curiosity.
To my surprise, it completely shifted my perspective. I saw how personal real estate really is. At its core, it’s about guiding people through change, often during some of the biggest moments in their lives. By the end of that weekend, I knew I’d found something special.
During college, I spent summers renovating old mill buildings and pitching the spaces for commercial use—going door to door with brochures. At the time, I didn’t think of it as real estate. I just liked building something from the ground up and connecting people to it. Later, working in 100% commission sales taught me how much trust and instinct matter. Those early experiences taught me how to stay grounded under pressure, how to listen, and how to lead people toward what’s right for them. Real estate may look like sales from the outside, but for me, it’s always been about relationships. I’ve focused on building trust, offering honest guidance, and doing right by my clients. Over the years, I’ve helped people through everything from first-time purchases to cross-country relocations, downsizing, and estate sales. Even during unpredictable markets—like the 2008 crash or the chaos of COVID—my focus has stayed the same: adapt to what people need and help them move forward with clarity and confidence.
Along the way, I’ve also carried lessons from a more personal part of my life—supporting people close to me who’ve struggled with addiction. I started attending Al-Anon and reading the AA Big Book during a difficult time, and the perspective I gained there has shaped how I show up in every part of life. You can’t control outcomes, but you are responsible for how you show up. That same mindset translates to my work. I can’t control the market. I can’t control people’s decisions. But I can be consistent. I can prepare. I can create space for people to feel heard and supported. That approach has carried me through all kinds of industry shifts. Markets change, but the work doesn’t. I stay grounded, offer perspective, and focus on the clients in front of me.
What drives me more than anything else is other people’s successes. If I can play a part in that, then I feel fulfilled.
Outside of real estate, I spend my time doing things I’ve loved since I was a kid—sailing and soccer. My dad built homes and boats, so sailing was something I picked up early on. Now I sail in Boston Harbor. I’ve also coached soccer over the years and currently play in a league that travels for tournaments, sometimes even internationally. One of my favorite things to do is spend time with my grandkids. Seeing the world through their eyes is a constant reminder of how much there is to be joyful about in life. I also have a dog, Jett, who I absolutely adore. He has his own outfits and bowties—you just might spot us on a walk at Hopkinton State Park!
I’ve lived in Southborough for over 30 years and have spent much of that time raising a family, volunteering, coaching, and staying involved.
I’ve built strong relationships and strived to be the person who shows up when things need to get done. That carries into my work with clients. I don’t treat real estate as a numbers game—I treat it as a relationship business. Every move is part of a bigger life story, and I never take that lightly. People rely on me to be thorough, honest, and prepared. I specialize in staging homes to present each property in a way that gets buyers excited. I always go the extra mile—checking for permits, walking people through the fine print, and helping them make smart, informed decisions. Whether I’m working with first-time buyers, relocating professionals, military families, seniors, or long-time homeowners ready to sell, I meet people where they are. What matters most to me is that clients feel confident, supported, and never pressured. My role is to guide—not push—and to bring clarity when the process starts to feel overwhelming. In every transaction, my goal is to make people feel like they’re in good hands.
